Anthropology

Forensic anthropology uses skeletal analysis to investigate decomposed, skeletonised, or heavily disrupted human remains. It can differentiate human from non-human bone early on to inform resource allocation and can aid in more complex searches for disrupted remains and provide detailed skeletal inventories to help inform decisions on whether to continue searching.

X-Rays

Forensic anthropology can provide a comprehensive biological profile for recovered remains. By estimating the minimum number of individuals, age, sex, stature and ancestry, they can help to narrow down an identification. It can provide opinion on pathology or trauma represented on the human skeleton to further aid an investigation for both identification and assist in determining the cause of death.
