Archaeology

Forensic archaeology uses stratigraphic systems of examination to search and record scenes in three dimensions. Most often applied to the search, excavation, recovery and reconstruction of clandestine burials, the techniques of forensic archaeology are just as applicable to the investigation of fire scenes, structural collapses and upstanding building searches.

Crime Scene Investigation

Forensic archaeology offers a range of tools and techniques to locate items and human remains and relate them to other aspects of the wider scene; contextualising them in time and space. Forensic archaeology includes the use of ground prospection techniques, such as electrical resistance and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), and makes use of visual, digital and UAV-based survey techniques.
